The greatest lesson of my career thus far is that true fulfillment can only come from serving others. Today, I am honored to be a member of the Annuity Association, where I can truly help someone face-to-face every day.
I began my career at a regional insurance company while I was still in college and quickly climbed the ladder. Seeking a new challenge and more variety after several years, I joined a boutique real estate firm and again grew my business rapidly. Eventually, I moved my business to Seattle, Wash., where I began to see momentum just in time for the 2008 financial crisis.
While the markets were highly uncertain during this time, I chose to lean in to the uncertainty, forging deeper connections with my peers and honing my skills within an ever-changing industry. I spent most of the recession helping builders and hedge funds reposition distressed investment properties. It was incredibly satisfying to take a neglected home and turn it into something beautiful for a new family to enjoy.
Through my work with real estate investments, I learned about alternative financing and discovered how to utilize private banking options designed to grow and protect capital through insurance contracts. This experience brought me full circle back into the insurance services world and the work I do today.
I was born and raised in Southern California and have lived in the Seattle area for more than 20 years. My wife Angie and I have two beautiful children, Sofia and Jones. They are two of my greatest teachers.

Having a family has been the most transformative journey of my life. My family has taught me how to love and grow in ways I never could have anticipated. My wife Angie is an incredible partner and mother to our kids. My daughter Sofia loves to paint, draw and dress up. She’s creative, and she has a deep empathy for others. My son Jones is a force. He’s fearless and loves to push the envelope. He has an affinity for taking things apart to see how they work. He’s also an incredible dancer; I’m sure he gets that from his mom!

I’ve always been drawn to the wonders of unfamiliar places. I have visited every continent apart from Antarctica, and every trip has offered a valuable shift in perspective. Travel allows us to see the world through new lenses, appreciating the diverse ways people live, solve problems, and find meaning. Beneath all differences, people from every culture share core similarities—love for family and a desire for connection. Exploring other places also can deepen our appreciation for home, helping us recognize what makes it unique and why it’s worth treasuring. 42 countries and counting!
The Fitness Fanatic
Fitness requires a spirit of exploration, resilience and immersion in one’s environment. As captain of my high school wrestling team, I learned early on that your results have everything to do with hard work and discipline. I’ve always loved pushing myself, whether by cycling mountain passes in New Zealand, running road races in the California desert, or practicing yoga in the jungles of Bali. CrossFit is also a passion of mine because of its unique style of functional workouts and its emphasis on community.
